I haven’t such a bad “romantic” experience since the visit to The Hassan II Mosque is in Casablanca, Morocco. At the entry of the mosque they asked me to split from my wife, as men are allowed in the main room and women should go in a room in the back of another building. I refused the offer and the whole romantic perfume of the Hollywood movie Casablanca vanished. Now let’s talk about what’s left of roberto carlo’s romantic tunes …

I am not a Portuguese speaker but Roberto is not the first singer that sings for woman. I though that the title is about an album or a song. Now I know better. The title was about not letting any man entering the concert !
Eventim, Stubhub and Espaço das Américas did not know how to deal with that
Eventim added “público geral são paulo” to their advertising.
Stubhub kept their warning about “tickets only for students” and “tickets for people with disabilities”, but the fact that all their tickets where for woman did not appear anywhere on their platform.
Stubhub technical support was taking by storm and answered “this information was mentioned once you purchased the tickets: Roberto Carlos Só Para Mulheres São Paulo”. Well the correct answer is “before you purchased the ticket“.

Espaço das Américas asked for super prices for parking on event days. 50R$ instead of 10R$. I told them that I have to leave the event because I am not allowed to enter the concert area and they could not give me back the money, also. They argued that there is no free time in their parking menu. The area is full with show arenas and the parking business is thriving at 3 times the prices of Avenida Paulista. There is no time for customer care here. Business is thriving and police work hard to let hundreds of cars get in and out the area every weekend.

There where more husbands there, trying to sell the tickets. I asked at the cashier and they send me at the entry of the concert area to do the sale process. I looked at the old woman that where approaching me. There is no way these respectable women will come in this part of town without a ticket. I went to a market near by and all the women already had tickets. Some young women laugh about my Roberto Carlos offer (but the Sao Paulo super arena was fully packed at Ed Sheeran :-), a different romantic era ). So my best offer was to find some woman that have no means of getting to the concert. I saw them sharing some strange cheap food at a terrace with plastic tables. I will never forget the light in their eyes when I show them the tickets. They could not believe that they may won the tickets. The waiter realized the confusion and explain them in Portuguese that the “gentlemen” is not allowed at the concert. For 30 seconds I was “o senhor”.

I froze my shopping at Stubhub until I will reconstruct my romantic soul back. Maybe I will try the Viagogo site again (this is a different story – I’ll be back with more details).

I only have “beep” words for this experience. Let’s focus on the wonderfull thing, that some ladys may have stand up in the concert arena with tears in their eyes (like I saw at the MGM Grand Arena, when Neil Diamond sang Sweet Caroline :-))

I was prepared by rumors to land in a land of evil, but in fact, I landed in a factory with people working hard to do an annual show, better and better each year.
I did not see any of the bad things that people are talking about, during my 6 day trip to Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo.
I only saw people walking for miles with their big bags with costumes, because the street where closed for cars during the Carnival
Then they had to enter in formation and walk again around the very, very long Sambodrom area to get in formation and then again to get their formation through the dancing arena of the Sambodrom
I only saw people working very hard for an incredible beautiful show – I do not know where should they have time or energy for anything else.
They prepared all year for this event, why should they spoil it with other activities (which I did not saw) ?
I saw a lot of police at every 200 meters, protecting thousands of tourists around The Rio de Janeiro Sambodrome and Sao Paulo Sambodrome.
I saw artists preparing good music and costumes for their one year only show. After you will look into the lyrics below, of some of the songs, you will realize they are just working people looking for love and happiness.
Statistically speaking, if there are more incidents during this period is because everybody is in holiday in one place, having more than one beer. This incidents happens at all long period concerts (2-3 + days) all around the world. I did not found more bad things that I found in other countries.
Poverty creates incidents, not The Carnival, and a good show can attract money and reduce poverty.

1. Victoria Secret is copying this show in capitals all around the world, employed Brazilian models, and is not criticized with this kind of words. How honest are we when we act with duplicity ?

2. Do not forget that the families of these people where kidnapped from their own towns by countries that now give lessons of religion and honesty to Brasil. Usually they steal even the land their are bringing the slaves, kill the locals and then build churches ant teach us honesty from 2000 years old books. As my grand and grand-grand parents where priests I saw the books (there are tens not one) and listen to the stories, and there is no such bad words like the ones that are used today. I think that some people  enter the churches with a bad luggage into their brain and nobody really heal them. Neither their religious neither science made them better persons.
3. In the long run Darwin will always help organised religious people against the one that just wanna have fun
If we would wrote the same messages to their religious sites, we will be qualified as heretics and be excommunicated from churches and cemeteries
Why we let them write on our boards ? Freedom of speech ? We all hope to convert one another to our own beliefs ?

A super storm delayed the Rio Carnaval 2019 on day one.
I thought I have to see The Carnaval only next year.
We had to hide from the thunderstorm under the concrete stairs.
Then a great team of workers from Rio Sambodrome came and clean a river of water.
Finally the super talented and beautiful dancers did a wonderful show during a heavy rain.
This is a playlist with more than 6 hours from raining Day 1 and 2, 3 with very little rain
(I succeeded to see some Sao Paulo samba schools, too)

“Nobody will tell us what movies to watch and when to watch them” Alvin Toffler, was written in 1980 book “The Third Wave”. When I read that phrase I did not understand what it means. I was living in a communist country and we have TV allowed only a couple of hours per day in order to spare electricity. The movies where allowed only 3 or 4 per week. The capitalist movies that we could watch where approved by a special department of “Securitate” (Some kind of Ministry of Truth from the book 1984). Only the movie that showed “The decadence of capitalism” where allowed (“Dallas – The Ewing family” ) was one of them.  I do not remember any Pink Floyd show at TV but I do remember people running around with their lyrics, hand written (no printer or typewriter where allowed (all their fingerprint where registered) for fear of  spreading capitalist ideas) .

So I had a big surprise this week when an artist send me an article about “Indoctrination using YouTube videos” (see article bellow). When I read this I remember that in any KGB plan there is a line “to conquer the TV” in order to tell the people that their country is not conquered and franchised but liberated.

YouTube is the democracy that Alvin Toffler was talking about, it is our chance to be informed (do not expect that people that are paid from your taxes, to take care of “informations and intelligence”, will ever inform you. I have a Prime Minister confession that he received only 2 strong intelligence reports in one year – imagine how many you will get 🙁 )

Yes, the dynamicaly updated algorithms of YouTube, created by programmers, Artificial Intelligence or both, will recommend you both good and stupid stuff. But you can go to a communist country and receive only KGB selected videos, if you prefer. I remember that during Romanian Revolution a movie was stopped in the middle and never continued, because the new boss realized that some videos may improve the quality and aspiration of people, too much, and in the direction that affects the leaders interests. YouTube freedom is your chance to become a better man, a smarter man. Nobody stops from from searching for “Richard Feynman” and learn the truth about Micro and Macro Universe in a few years. Nobody stops you to search for “Darwin”. And so on … it is an exponential growth of Knowledge towards Singularity, with the help of YouTube, Amazon, Packt, Audible, Scribd …

Serin completely changes while he is singing, getting to a completely new world like Alice in Wonderland . Probably, Tony Robbins will call it double personality. I call it Paganini / Michael Jackson effect = getting first to a Music Universe and singing from there
